    Meet your Event Leaders

    Pathfinder DM

William started playing D&D back in the mid to late 90's with 2nd Edition where he fell in love with the game and all the fantastical worlds that had been created and could be created. After that, he started DMing with 3rd Edition, moving to 3.5 Edition for his circle of friends back in High School. Over time his games became more and more elaborate, going from using simple graph paper for his dungeons and theater of the mind to buying pre-painted minis and maps from books to 3d printing his minis, terrain pieces and ever more elaborate maps for his sessions and players. Over the years he's branched out to playing Pathfinder 1st Edition, followed up with Pathfinder 2nd Edition, along with Starfinder, and several other TTRPGs. His love and passion for the game shows in each of his sessions, helping new players feel comfortable and not awkward for not knowing the game. He's been helping Red Dragon, along with a few other DMs, to grow the D&D and Table Top Role Play Community so new players, and old, can all feel welcome and enjoy the game.

    Kill Team Organizer

Andrew started in the miniature wargaming hobby in 2021, but has been painting models in one form or another since 2010. He started with painting model airplanes during university, and later while visiting Red Dragon, he overheard the store owner, Dan, talking about Warhammer to another customer saying to them that you build, paint, and play the game with these models. This immediately caught his attention as it meant he could actually do something with what he painted. After speaking with Dan more about the games, Andrew tried a few different games and systems until discovering the local group that played Kill Team at Red Dragon, and the rest is history. The Kill Team group has grown tremendously since first starting to play, and recently, Andrew decided to try and take a more active role in the local Kill Team community by being the Tournament Organizer for tournaments and to help keep growing the community.

    Shatterpoint Organizer

Eric started his gaming adventure a long time ago in small towns far, far away. With reading as a hobby feeding his imagination, he was introduced to Star Wars at the young age of 6, when his cousins showed him “A New Hope” just as Darth Vader struck down Obi Wan Kenobi. Just like in the movie, Eric’s passion has come back stronger than ever before, allowing him to jump into Pokemon at age 7, playing Magic the Gathering at 10, and finally becoming a Dungeon Master in Dungeons & Dragons at 14. He expanded to table-top games at 13, starting with Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game, which evolved into passions in Warhammer 40,000 and Warmachine/Hordes.When he discovered there was a way to combine his passion for skirmish table top games with his love for Star Wars, he knew that it was the will of the Force. Eric has been a champion for Star Wars: Shatterpoint since its launch in June 2023, coordinating with groups in the Ottawa area and beyond to organize events. Eric has been focusing on creating a great environment in the Ottawa region for new, returning and veteran players.Eric has traveled to Waterloo, Montreal and everywhere in between to play with new people, meet the other organizers, and meet more communities. He ensures to take the best parts of each community and each player he has interacted with to help new players learn strategies that are not always obvious, provide a challenge for the veterans, and provide a great environment for everyone to grow.

    Infinity Tournament Organizer

I have been playing miniature wargames for over 30 years, starting back in the mid-90s with Warhammer 40k 2nd Edition and Heavy Gear. I have moved from gaming system to gaming system over the years until 2023 when I reconnected with an old flame: Infinity.Since then I have become absolutely obsessed and it wasn't long before I joined Corvus Belli's volunteer corps, the Warcors. Since then I've been looking for a big event to showcase Infinity to a wider audience while bringing in the Infinity players from nearby cities like Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City. I'm so excited that the Ottawa Gaming Convention has agreed to host our tournament.I've brought on major sponsors like Corvus Belli and Tinkerhouse Games who are providing amazing prizes for the participants, as well as minor sponsors like Warsenal and Micro Arts Studios who have contributed some event exclusive discount codes. I am dedicated to make this the best Infinity tournament I can and I know that the rest of the Infinity players will make it great. After the tournament I want all the players to immediately book off August 2027 for the next one because they had such a great time at this one.

    The Old World Organizer

Ryan is a long time tabletop war game enthusiast and tournament organiser across a wide breadth of game systems. Despite starting in space fleet games with Full Thrust, moving on to 40k, then Flames of War and Team Yankee, and various other indy and niche game projects along the way, he has found himself in The Old World of late. Ryan has been assisting the Old World organisers in Ottawa since the game launched producing event player packs, developing the TOW Teams format for CHTT, and rules judging at events. In the past he has served as a playtester and promoter/event organizer for, the now defunct, Spartan Games (Firestorm Armada, Dystopian Wars, Halo Fleet Battles, etc) and Battlefront (Flames of War, Team Yankee). When not engaged in fantastical masses battles, Ryan can be found building a village in Manor Lords or playing Blood Bowl.

    40K Co-Organizer

Hello friends! My preferred name is Rickard, and I am your friendly neighborhood Tournament Organizer for the Warhammer 40K super-major.Warhammer 40K is a tabletop wargame where playing the game itself is only one element. You also build and paint your models, meaning that each game is both an expression of your playing skill and your creativity - a piece of you is with every model. The event will take place on Friday/Saturday/Sunday, three (3) days worth of Warhammer 40K. In addition to this being our first ever super-major, we're fresh into a brand new edition! Some info about me; I am one of the Warhammer 40K event organizers for Red Dragon, with a special interest/focus in making the hobby more accessible and inclusive. My favorite way to play 40K is with models that double as a possible club (Imperial and Chaos Knights) or doorknobs in a sack (Custodes and Grey Knights). Hobby-wise, I greatly enjoy model conversions, and look forward to seeing all of the outstanding hobby efforts from those participating at our event!
